Raipur >>Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai attended the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the District Industries Association in Bilaspur as the chief guest. In his address, he highlighted the pivotal role of industries in Chhattisgarh’s development and economy, referring to them as the driving engine. He stated that industries in Chhattisgarh have significantly contributed to the state’s progress. The Chief Minister emphasized the implementation of the Single Window System 2.0 to create a conducive environment for promoting industries and addressing related issues. He also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for advancing the nation on the path of development over the past ten years and working towards making India the world’s third-largest economy.
During the event, Chief Minister Sai expressed his vision for a developed India by 2047, emphasizing the need for collaboration and input from all stakeholders to make Chhattisgarh a developed state. He announced the launch of the state’s vision document on November 1, coinciding with Chhattisgarh State Foundation Day, and mentioned that a new industrial policy would also be introduced on the same day.
Chief Minister Sai highlighted Chhattisgarh’s abundance of natural resources, including electricity, water, coal, iron, diamonds, tin, lithium, and other minerals. He pointed out the availability of forest resources and minor forest produce, noting the extensive production of tomatoes in Jashpur and tamarind in Bastar, which will aid in the development of tribal regions. He acknowledged the vast scope for industries in the state and assured that the Chhattisgarh government would provide necessary facilities and resolve industry-related challenges. Addressing the office bearers of the industries association, Chief Minister Sai stated that their skills and strength are crucial for strengthening Chhattisgarh’s development and economy. He emphasized resolving electricity issues and fostering a cooperative environment among officials and industrialists to improve the industrial climate.
The event featured guest of honor, Tohkan Sahu, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, and Member of Parliament from Bilaspur, who remarked on the interdependence of agriculture and industry in shaping the nation’s economy. He stressed that industries generate employment and noted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives to promote employment-oriented industries, including the expansion of the MUDRA loan scheme.
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw, speaking at the ceremony, reiterated the significant role of industries in Chhattisgarh’s development. He pointed out that industries not only produce goods and generate revenue but also play a key role in job creation. He acknowledged the Chhattisgarh government’s consistent efforts to promote industrial growth and highlighted the initiatives by the Prime Minister to support small-scale industries and other industrial sectors. He congratulated the Bilaspur District Industries Association on their Golden Jubilee.
At the Golden Jubilee event, office bearers of the Bilaspur Industries Association honored Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, guest of honor Tohkan Sahu, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw, and legislators Amar Agrawal, Dharamlal Kaushik, Dharamjeet Singh, Sushant Shukla, Atal Srivastava, and former Housing Board President Bhupendra Sawanni with shawls, coconuts, and mementos.
The occasion was graced by founding member of Bilaspur Industries Association, Harish Kedia, District Industries Association President Anil Saluja, General Secretary Sharad Saxena, and other officials. During the event, the President of Bilaspur Industries Association expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for introducing the new industrial policy and the Single Window System.
