Joint Statement on Transport Cooperation Between Moscow and Raipur Municipal Corporations

The Raipur Municipal Corporation (India) and the Moscow Government (Russian Federation), hereinafter referred to as “the parties,” have decided to enhance cooperation aimed at improving urban transportation and road infrastructure. This collaboration will assist in the development of better transportation systems between the two cities. To achieve this objective, both parties have agreed to cooperate in the following key areas:

  1. Regular Exchange of Transport Data: Both cities will share up-to-date information about the transportation situation in their respective areas on a regular basis. This data will be used to analyze the current state of transport and take necessary steps for improvement.
  2. Meetings and Programs with Scientific and Expert Communities: To promote dialogue between the experts and scientific communities of both parties, offline meetings and events will be organized. These meetings will discuss emerging issues in transportation and seek suggestions for solutions.
  3. Implementation of Joint Research Projects: Both cities will implement joint research projects to upgrade their transportation systems. This will enable the development of new technologies and innovations.
  4. Comprehensive Review and Identification of Transportation Issues: Efforts will be made to conduct a thorough review of the transportation systems in both Raipur and Moscow and identify necessary improvements. This review will address issues such as traffic congestion, road safety, and other transportation challenges.
  5. Identification and Development of Processes in the Transport Industry: Both parties will work together to identify and develop emerging trends in the transport industry.
  6. Creating an Accessible and Open Knowledge Base on Transport: Efforts will be made to create a shared platform where transportation-related information can be made accessible and open. This will benefit professionals working in urban transportation as well as the general public.

Participation in Urban Transport Data Project

Both Raipur and Moscow are prepared to participate in an international analytical platform called the Urban Transport Data Project. This project is designed to collect, analyze, and publish data on the health and utility of transportation in various cities. The mutual cooperation under this project will be voluntary and based on friendly relations, with no financial gain involved.

Signing of the Joint Statement

This joint statement has been prepared in two original copies, in English and Russian, both having equal validity. The statement was signed on behalf of the Raipur Municipal Corporation by Mayor Mr. Aijaz Dhebar and on behalf of the Moscow Government by Deputy Mayor and Head of the Transport Department, Maxim Liksutov.

Raipur’s Recognition on the International Stage

Raipur’s Mayor, Mr. Aijaz Dhebar, shared important information about his visit to Moscow during a press conference held at the Raipur Municipal Corporation.
