Governor Attends 31st Conference of the International Academy of Physics

Raipur >> India is one of the fastest-growing economies and is progressing towards becoming a 5 trillion-dollar economy. In such times, the role of scientific research and innovation cannot be underestimated. As we advance rapidly in the era of technological progress and global challenges, physics has become more important than ever before. These views were expressed by Governor Shri Ramen Deka while addressing the 31st Conference of the International Academy of Physics.

Speaking as the chief guest at the international conference held at Pandit Ravi Shankar University’s auditorium, Governor Shri Ramen Deka stated that the world is facing critical environmental, technological, and social challenges. The scientific community participating in this conference has the potential to make a significant impact. They can help solve these global issues through cutting-edge research.

Shri Deka further said that the theme of the conference, “Emerging Trends in Physics,” brings researchers together to discuss and expand their knowledge in this emerging field, showcasing a collective commitment to scientific inquiry and innovation. He expressed pleasure that scientists from various fields including physics, chemistry, mathematics, statistics, computer science, and bioinformatics are gathered at this conference.

The Governor mentioned that the National Education Policy 2020 has laid out a comprehensive approach to transforming India’s education ecosystem. It emphasizes the importance of research, innovation, and critical thinking. This conference will play an inspiring role in achieving the goals of the National Education Policy. The conference is providing young and emerging scientists with the opportunity to showcase their potential research through the Young Scientist Award. Including postgraduate students and their poster presentations is a commendable initiative. He hoped that, through the sharing of knowledge, ideas, and experiences, the conference would act as a catalyst for important research and innovative solutions.

On this occasion, the welcome address was delivered by Prof. Sachchidanand, Vice Chancellor of Ravi Shankar University. Prof. Kallol Ghosh highlighted the objectives of the conference. Professor H.S. Dhami, President of the International Academy of Physics, and Professor Tankeshwar Prasad, Vice Chancellor of Central University Haryana, shared their thoughts during the inaugural session of the conference.

A dictionary was also released during the event. Governor Shri Deka inaugurated the Analytical Instrument Laboratory and the Innovation Technology and Entrepreneurship Foundation at Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University. The Governor also planted saplings in the auditorium premises.

The program was attended by scientists, scholars, experts, researchers, and students from various universities.
