Raipur >> The new bridge being constructed between Sagnighat and Sillighat in Durg district is almost complete. 95% of the work has been finished, and the final phase of construction is underway. After the BT work on the bridge, it will soon be opened for traffic. The bridge, located over the Shivnath River, has been built at a cost of over ₹14 crore.
The Public Works Department is constructing this bridge to connect the Durg-Dhamdha road to the Jaalbandha-Khairagarh road. The bridge, which is 400 meters long, is located between Sagnighat and Sillighat. Once completed, the bridge will benefit the population of around 20,000 people from 12 villages in the area. Additionally, this bridge will help connect major locations in the district such as Durg, Dhamdha, Jaalbandha, and Khairagarh.
