Korba’s Development Boost: Minister Lakhan Lal Devangan’s New Initiatives

“Every Road Will Be Built, Every Drain Will Be Paved: A New Chapter of Development in Korba – Industry Minister Lakhan Lal Devangan”

Korba. Prioritizing the basic amenities and infrastructure development of the city, Korba MLA and Chhattisgarh Government’s Commerce, Industry, and Labor Minister Mr. Lakhan Lal Devangan performed the foundation stone ceremony for development works worth 67 lakh in three wards of Sitamani, Korba Zone.

On this occasion, Minister Mr. Devangan stated that development work in all wards of Korba city had been stalled for the past few years. Funds for ward development were not available. However, under Vishnu Dev’s government, in just one year, 300 crores have been approved from various sources, many projects have begun, and several are in the tender process. He assured the ward residents that there was no need to worry, as every road and drain would be constructed. A new chapter of development is being written in Korba city, and there will be no compromise on basic facilities. Minister Mr. Devangan instructed the corporation officials to complete the work on time and with full quality.

These projects aim not only to improve the roads and drains connecting urban and rural areas of the district but also to promote overall regional development. These are not just construction works, but significant steps toward making life easier, safer, and more convenient for the people. The goal is to develop Korba city as an ideal city where every citizen has access to basic amenities.

Present on the occasion were Mayor Rajkishore Prasad, Chairman Shyam Sundar Soni, BJP District Vice President Prafull Tiwari, Councillors Narendra Devangan, Sufal Das, Dhanashree Sahu, Urvashi Rathore, Parvinder Singh, Korba Mandal President Yogesh Mishra, Yugal Kaivart, and a large number of ward residents.

Foundation Stones for Various Projects:

The foundation stone ceremony was held for various development works worth 67 lakh in wards 5, 6, and 7 of Korba Zone. These included:

  • Ward 5: Construction of the upper floor of the Upkapara community building (5 lakh), CC road construction from Bhavna Chauhan’s house to Prarthana Sahu’s house (12 lakh).
  • Ward 6: Drain construction (15 lakh), toilet and other development works at Siyan Sadan in Old Basti (10 lakh).
  • Ward 7: Community building construction at Sitamadi Motisagar Para (15 lakh) and drain construction (15 lakh).
