Raipur >>Under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, rice procurement from farmers is continuing smoothly across the state. Senior officials are closely monitoring the rice procurement process. The procurement, which began on November 14, has now surpassed 106 lakh metric tons. As of now, ₹23,790 crore has been paid to 20.53 lakh farmers under the bank linking system. The rice procurement drive will continue until January 31, 2025.

Tokens for the sale of rice under the Kharif marketing year 2024-25 have been made available online via the “Token Tumhar Haath” app and at procurement centers until January 25, 2025. Farmers can select dates as per their convenience and sell rice accordingly.

Alongside procurement, the lifting of rice by millers is progressing rapidly. So far, Delivery Orders (DO) and Transport Orders (TO) have been issued for the lifting of 79.15 lakh metric tons, of which 49.15 lakh metric tons have already been lifted.

On January 7, 2025, a total of 65,321 farmers sold 3.41 lakh metric tons of rice, for which 75,905 tokens were issued. Additionally, 73,725 tokens have been issued for upcoming days.

It is noteworthy that 27.78 lakh farmers have registered for this Kharif season, including 1.59 lakh new farmers. A total of 2739 procurement centers are expected to procure an estimated 160 lakh metric tons of rice this year.
