Jashpur Launches ‘Swasth Mata-Tandurust Bachha’ Campaign in Collaboration with IIT Bombay

Raipur >>Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai emphasized that the health of mothers and children is the cornerstone of Chhattisgarh’s prosperity and development. Launching the IIT Bombay-supported ‘Swasth Mata-Tandurust Bachha’ campaign in Jashpur, he stated that improving maternal and child health remains a top priority for the state.

The campaign aims to eradicate malnutrition in Jashpur district by enhancing the nutritional status of pregnant women and children. Over 9,500 health and Anganwadi workers, trained online by IIT Bombay, will oversee nutrition and health care. Additionally, 300 master trainers will provide ongoing training to field workers from the Health and Women & Child Development Departments.

The campaign targets pregnant and lactating mothers and children under six years, focusing on breastfeeding, balanced diets, and supplementary nutrition. CM Sai commended the initiative, calling it a crucial step toward raising awareness, eliminating malnutrition, and improving health outcomes in Jashpur.
