Raipur >> Under the guidance of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, rice procurement from farmers is being carried out smoothly in the state. Senior officials are continuously monitoring the process. The rice procurement, which started on November 14, is still ongoing. So far, over 13.2 million metric tons of rice have been purchased from 23.76 lakh farmers. A total of ₹26,349 crore has been paid to the farmers under the bank linking system. In addition to rice procurement, the collection for custom milling is progressing rapidly. DO and TO have been issued for over 9.7 million metric tons of rice, of which more than 7.2 million metric tons have been collected. The rice procurement campaign will continue until January 31, 2025.
