Chief Minister Congratulates Security Forces for Continuous Surrenders in Bastar Division

For those Naxals who want to surrender and return to the mainstream of society, our government is providing better life and rehabilitation facilities. Those who abandon the path of violence and choose the path of democracy are always welcome.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai congratulated the security forces for their continuous success in the surrender of Naxals in various districts of the Bastar division and saluted their indomitable courage. He mentioned, Today, 7 Maoists surrendered in Kanker district, with a total reward of 32 lakhs on their heads. Previously, 9 Naxals, with rewards of 27 lakh in Narayanpur and 52 lakh in Sukma districts, surrendered to the security forces. This is a direct result of our government’s effective surrender policy and ongoing operations to eradicate Naxalism.
CM Sai further stated that so far, 941 Naxals have surrendered, while 1,112 have been arrested by our security forces. In Naxal encounters, 265 Naxals have been eliminated. Naxals are surrendering due to disillusionment with their hollow ideology and the hope for a better life. This is a sign that Naxalism is breathing its last.
The Chief Minister added, “During my visits to Bastar, I often meet surrendered Naxals. Through conversations, it is evident that they are now living better lives and are happy after leaving behind the hollow Maoist ideology. The government is working on developing infrastructure and fulfilling basic needs through various welfare schemes in identified villages of Naxal-affected districts to eliminate the Naxal base.”
Vishnu Dev Sai also mentioned that 15,000 Prime Minister’s Housing Schemes have been approved for surrendered Naxals and families affected by Naxalism. The end of Maoist terror will come within the set timeline. Soon, Bastar will witness an environment of peace, harmony, and security.
