Municipal Elections: Voting Today, Online Booth Information Available
Voters Can Download Their Voter Slips; EVM Buttons for Mayor Near White Line
Raipur >>The municipal elections in Chhattisgarh are set to take place today, February 11 (Tuesday). Voters will cast their votes for three positions—Mayor, President, and Councillor—simultaneously using Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). The voting process will be conducted from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM across all polling stations.
To facilitate voters, the Chhattisgarh State Election Commission (cgsec.gov.in) has made it possible to check polling booth details online and download voter slips. Voters can use voter slips, Aadhaar cards, or any of the 18 approved identity documents to cast their votes. On the EVMs, the names of Mayor candidates will appear on a white strip, while Councillor candidates’ names will be displayed on a pink strip.
Polling in 10 Municipal Corporations
Elections are being held for 10 municipal corporations, 49 municipal councils, and 114 municipal panchayats across the state. The counting of votes will take place on February 15, and the results will be announced on the same day.

Election Statistics in Raipur
According to Umashankar Bandhe, Deputy District Election Officer of Raipur, a total of 1,168,373 voters are eligible to participate in the elections across 11 urban local bodies in the district. Additionally, for three-tier panchayat elections, 716,277 voters will exercise their franchise.
To accommodate these voters, a total of 1,290 polling booths have been set up in the urban bodies, including 1,221 primary polling stations and 69 auxiliary polling stations. For three-tier panchayat elections, there are 1,378 polling stations, comprising 1,374 primary booths and 4 auxiliary booths.
