Announces ₹10 Lakh Grant for Girls’ Shelter Home
Raipur, February 21, 2025 – Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai celebrated his birthday with simplicity at the Government Girls’ Shelter Home in Khamhardih, Raipur, sharing his special day with the children. By spending time with these little smiles, he conveyed the message that true leadership lies in being a part of every section of society’s happiness.
The Chief Minister cut a cake with the girls, spent quality time with them, and listened to their innocent conversations with warmth. During the interaction, the children expressed their small wishes, including a request for a soundbox. CM Sai immediately fulfilled this wish and gifted the shelter home a soundbox. Additionally, he announced a grant of ₹10 lakh for the shelter home to provide computers, a water cooler, and other essential facilities, ensuring a better educational environment for the girls.
CM Sai Shares Memories of His School Days
On this occasion, CM Sai reminisced about his school days, recalling how his village’s primary school had a thatched roof that leaked during rains. He encouraged the girls to value the good hostel and education facilities they have today and motivated them to study with dedication, emphasizing that education is the key to success. He cited examples of great personalities who overcame struggles and advised the girls to turn challenges into strengths. He reassured them that the state government would provide all possible support for their bright future.
Currently, 57 girls reside at the shelter home, where the Department of Women and Child Development provides them with free housing, food, education, and medical care.
The event was attended by MLA Purandar Mishra, Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department, Mrs. Shammi Abidi, Raipur Collector Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh, and other officials.
