Dr. Sanjay Alang to Deliver Lecture at JNU, Delhi
Bilaspur >>Dr. Sanjay Alang is set to deliver a lecture at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, at the end of February. Dr. Alang has authored over ten research books on the history and culture of Chhattisgarh and is frequently invited to prestigious platforms as an expert speaker on topics related to the state.
He has previously delivered expert lectures or poetry readings at significant events such as the Arunachal Pradesh Literature Festival in Itanagar, World Book Fair in New Delhi, Aaj Tak Literature Festival in New Delhi, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in Varanasi, and Raipur Literature Festival.
Apart from researching history, culture, and tribal subjects, Dr. Alang actively delivers lectures to clarify these topics and is frequently invited to national-level platforms. This time, his lecture is scheduled at JNU, and he has previously lectured at BHU as well.
His research book, “Chhattisgarh: Itihas aur Sanskriti” (Chhattisgarh: History and Culture), was honored with the Government of India’s highest award for research education writing, along with a cash prize of ₹1 lakh.
Dr. Alang has written over ten books, including “Chhattisgarh Ki Riyasatein Aur Zamindariyaan” (Princely States and Landlords of Chhattisgarh) and “Chhattisgarh Ki Janjatiyan Aur Jatiyan” (Tribes and Castes of Chhattisgarh), earning numerous accolades for his research contributions.
Additionally, he has published three Hindi poetry collections—“Shav,” “Pagdandi Chhip Gayi Thi” (Focused on Chhattisgarh), and “Nadi Usi Tarah Sundar Thi Jaise Koi Bagh”. He has also authored a Chhattisgarhi poetry collection, “Mauha Kaan Ma Bolay Baans”. His literary works have received several honors.
