The last rites of Raipur-based businessman Mr. Dinesh Mirania, who was martyred in the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, were performed today with full state honors and in the presence of a large public gathering. Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai personally participated in the funeral procession, shoulder-carried the mortal remains, and paid floral tributes. He met the grieving family, offered his condolences, and stated that the attack has deeply wounded the soul of Chhattisgarh.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai said, “This cowardly act of terrorism has snatched a promising and industrious son from our state. This attack is not just against an individual, but against the entire nation and society.” Holding Pakistan responsible for the incident, he added that the perpetrators will have to pay the price for this attack.

The Chief Minister assured the bereaved family of the government’s unwavering support and said that a proposal will be brought forth to name a square or road in Raipur after the late Mr. Mirania to preserve his memory permanently.

Massive Public Participation at the Funeral
Several senior ministers, MLAs, and public representatives from the state government were present at Mr. Mirania’s funeral. Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Sharma, Finance Minister Mr. O.P. Choudhary, Union Minister of State Mr. Tokhan Sahu, MLAs Mr. Kiran Dev and Mr. Rajesh Munat, Chairman of the Civil Supplies Corporation Mr. Sanjay Srivastava, along with thousands of common citizens, paid their last respects.

Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Sharma, while speaking at the condolence gathering, said that this terrorist attack is not just about taking one life—it is an assault on the very soul of India. He emphasized that Mr. Mirania’s sacrifice will not go in vain and the entire nation will unite to fight terrorism.

Mourning in the Capital, Grief Among the Business Community
As the news of Mr. Mirania’s death spread across Raipur, a wave of grief swept through the business community and the citizens. Many commercial establishments remained shut as a mark of respect, and a large number of people visited his residence to pay their final respects.

Youth Congress Protest and Anti-Pakistan Slogans
Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh Youth Congress held a protest at Rajiv Gandhi Chowk in Raipur against the attack, burning an effigy of terrorism wrapped in the Pakistani flag. The protestors chanted slogans like “Pakistan Murdabad” and “Down with Terrorism.” The Youth Congress demanded strong action from the Central Government against Pakistan.

Government to Launch Anti-Terror Awareness Campaigns
Chief Minister Sai announced that the state government will launch awareness campaigns in schools and colleges to educate youth about the threats of terrorism and instill a stronger sense of patriotism. He also mentioned that a tribute ceremony will be held in memory of Mr. Mirania.
