MP Brijmohan Raises Rural Development Issue in Lok Sabha
New Delhi, December 17:
Chhattisgarh MP Shri Brijmohan Agrawal today raised significant issues related to rural development in the Lok Sabha. He questioned the Rural Development Ministry regarding the release of temporary funds for rural development programs and sought details and criteria on the matter.
MP Brijmohan Agrawal urged the central government to release temporary funds for special rural development programs prepared by states. In response, Minister of State for Rural Development Shri Kamlesh Paswan clarified that the ministry does not release temporary funds for any state-specific rural development programs.
However, the minister outlined that the ministry allocates funds under key schemes such as the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana (National Rural Livelihood Mission), Rural Skill Development Scheme, and the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana.
The minister explained that the fund release process for these schemes is based on pre-determined guidelines and structured plans. States are required to submit utilization certificates, fund usage details, and reports on the effective implementation of the schemes.
Emphasizing the need for improved coordination between the central and state governments, MP Shri Brijmohan Agrawal stated that greater focus on special programs would accelerate rural development. He affirmed, “Our commitment to rural development is unwavering. I will continue to strive for the holistic growth of rural areas.”
This initiative highlights MP Brijmohan Agrawal’s dedication to the development of Chhattisgarh’s rural regions and his sustained efforts toward their progress.
