Raipur >>Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration & Development Minister Arun Sao conducted a review meeting with senior officials of municipal corporations, municipalities, and municipal councils. He emphasized creating clean, beautiful, and efficient cities across Chhattisgarh by actively monitoring construction work, cleanliness, and lighting systems in urban wards.
Key Directives from the Review Meeting:
- Compassionate Appointments: Complete all processes by January 10, 2025, for 353 newly sanctioned posts across urban bodies.
- Daily Monitoring : Commissioners and municipal officers instructed to inspect wards daily and oversee development work.
- Atal and Nalanda Complexes : Accelerate construction, ensuring iconic designs that make these structures city landmarks.
- Quality Assurance : Ensure top-notch materials and construction standards for all projects under various schemes.
- Urban Welfare Schemes: Expedite work under PMAY (Urban), AMRUT 2.0, and other infrastructure programs, with special attention to affordable housing.
Arun Sao stressed proactive and efficient governance, including prompt grievance redressal, timely payment of wages, and energy-saving measures. He also highlighted the importance of using IT solutions for monitoring and enhancing urban services.
