Commissioner Mr. Abhinash Mishra Inspects Major Intersections of Raipur City for Traffic Improvements

Raipur >> Following the instructions of Raipur District Collector Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh, Commissioner of Raipur Municipal Corporation, Mr. Abhinash Mishra, along with officials from the municipal corporation, district police administration, Chhattisgarh Power Company, and the Public Works Department, conducted a pedestrian inspection of more than half a dozen major intersections in Raipur city that are facing traffic issues. The inspection, which included site reviews and discussions with officials, aimed at improving the traffic management system. Mr. Mishra issued necessary directives to quickly resolve the issues, ensuring smoother and more organized traffic for the convenience of the public.

This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts, led by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and guided by Deputy Chief Minister for Urban Administration and Development, Arun Saw, under the supervision of the Raipur district administration, police, traffic department, municipal corporation, Public Works Department, and Chhattisgarh Power Company. The objective is to make the traffic system more efficient and accessible on key roads and intersections in Raipur for the benefit of citizens.

During the inspection, the Commissioner examined traffic management at key intersections including Motibag Chowk, Shastri Chowk near Banjarai Baba Mazaar Chowk, Shankar Nagar Chowk, Make in India Chowk, Telibandha, VIP Road S Shri Ram Mandir Chowk, Pachpedi Naka Chowk, Santoshi Nagar Chowk, Bhatagaon Chowk, and Raipura Chowk. He observed the traffic problems faced by the public and issued instructions to remove encroachments, establish permanent rotaries, fix traffic signals, repair and improve road dividers, and shift utility poles that obstruct traffic flow.

The inspection was attended by several officials, including Additional Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation U. S. Agarwal, Executive Engineer Rajesh Rathore, Zone Commissioner Vimal Sharma, Senior Executive Engineer Atul Chopra, and other senior officers from the district police administration, traffic department, Public Works Department, and Chhattisgarh Power Company.
