Raipur >> Under the direction of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, the traffic system in the capital is being improved. The district administration is taking concrete measures to ease traffic, providing relief to citizens from traffic jams. Additionally, the creation of a “No Auto Zone” at Shastri Chowk has alleviated the daily difficulties of thousands of people.

Rotaries are being installed at the busiest intersections of the city. Rotaries have already been installed at Mahila Police Thana Chowk, Motibagh Chowk (Banjari Baba), Khamhar Dih, and Lakhengar Chowk, with work underway to install one under the Devendra Nagar Overbridge. The installation of rotaries will allow traffic movement without the need for traffic signals, helping to resolve congestion. Furthermore, flexible spring posts are being installed to ease left turns, and damaged ones are being repaired at Shastri Chowk, Sharda Chowk, Fafadiha Chowk, Kalibadi Chowk, etc.

Under the instructions of Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh and the guidance of Municipal Commissioner Shri Abhinash Mishra, efforts are being made to regulate traffic smoothly. Work includes lane markings, zebra crossings, signboards, and cat’s eyes on various roads. Additionally, trees obstructing traffic along the roads will be pruned.

Road Construction to Ease Traffic in Labandi
To improve the city’s traffic flow, road repairs and widening are being carried out. The widening and asphalting of about 1 km of road from the National Highway, passing through Hotel Court Marriott to Labandi village, and leading to Balaji Cancer Hospital through Labandi School, has been completed. This road was previously narrow, causing inconvenience, but with the widening, citizens now have an alternative route, making travel more convenient.
