BJP Labels Farmers as Rapists After Calling Them Terrorists: Demands for Apology Over Kangana’s Remarks

BJP has already called the protesting farmers terrorists, Naxalites, and anti-national; now they are calling them rapists

BJP should apologize for Kangana Ranaut’s derogatory remarks against farmers

Raipur >> Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress senior spokesperson Dhananjay Singh Thakur condemned BJP MP Kangana Ranaut’s derogatory remarks against farmers and launched a scathing attack on the BJP. He said BJP MPs and leaders, under the influence of their central leadership, are consistently making inappropriate and offensive comments against the farmer movement, thereby insulting the farmers. He alleged that the BJP had already insulted the protesting farmers by labeling them as terrorists, Naxalites, anti-nationals, and members of the ‘tukde-tukde gang.’ Now, Kangana Ranaut has accused farmers of rape and murder, effectively calling them rapists and murderers.

Dhananjay Singh Thakur stated that Kangana Ranaut’s statement is part of a premeditated script written by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He accused the RSS and BJP of always plotting conspiracies to tarnish the image of those who protest. Thakur said this is not just against the farmers but also against all those who raise their voices and protest democratically.

Farmers’ outrage against the BJP government

Senior Congress spokesperson Thakur said that since the BJP government came to power, farmers have become increasingly frustrated and disillusioned. He pointed out that many promises were made to the farmers during the elections, most of which have yet to be fulfilled. The Narendra Modi-led BJP government has neglected the problems of the farmers during its 10-year tenure, rather than solving them.

The committees formed and promises made to address the farmers’ demands during the protests have proved to be mere show. Farmers continuously demand their rights and fair prices for their crops, but the BJP government has ignored their demands. Thakur said that to suppress the farmers’ movement, the BJP government has resorted to various tactics, including spreading misinformation against farmers and defaming them.

Condemnation of Kangana Ranaut’s remarks

Condemning Kangana Ranaut’s recent remarks, Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that it not only shows insensitivity towards farmers but also exposes the BJP’s mentality of trying to malign the protestors and damage their reputation. He said that Kangana Ranaut’s statement is not only inappropriate but also an affront to the dignity of the country’s farmers.

Thakur demanded that the BJP apologize to the entire country for Kangana Ranaut’s insulting remarks. He also called for strict legal action against Kangana Ranaut. He stated that such derogatory comments should not be tolerated, and those who make such remarks should be brought within the purview of the law.

BJP’s negative attitude towards farmers

Dhananjay Singh Thakur further stated that the BJP’s ideology has always been negative towards farmers and their movements. He said the BJP views farmers as obstacles to the country’s development, which is why they make derogatory and indecent comments against them. Thakur mentioned that BJP leaders tried to defame the farmers during the farmers’ movement by calling them ‘Khalistani,’ ‘Pakistani agents,’ and ‘urban Naxals.’ He said it has become a habit of the BJP to label protestors as anti-national and terrorists to suppress their voices.

Significance of the farmers’ movement

Thakur said that the farmers’ movement is not an ordinary protest; it is the voice of the country’s farmers, who provide food to the nation with their hard work and sweat. The farmers’ movement is not just against the agricultural laws but also for the respect, identity, and rights of the farmers. He mentioned that farmers are taking to the streets over their problems, and their support should be ensured.

He also said it is crucial for the government to listen to the farmers’ demands and sincerely work towards resolving them. The country’s development is impossible without farmers, so respecting farmers and addressing their problems should be the government’s priority. Thakur stated that the Congress Party has always stood with the farmers and will continue to support them in the future.

Kangana Ranaut’s statement as part of BJP’s strategy

Dhananjay Singh Thakur described Kangana Ranaut’s statement as part of a well-thought-out strategy by the BJP. He said that the BJP is deliberately making such statements to weaken the farmers’ movement. According to him, the BJP’s strategy is to defame the protestors and sway public opinion against them.

Thakur said the BJP should understand that defaming the farmers will neither solve their problems nor end the movement. The farmers’ demands are legitimate, and it is the government’s duty to fulfill them. He urged the BJP to change its mindset and show sensitivity towards farmers.

Questioning BJP’s policy

Thakur questioned the BJP’s policy, asking why they made promises to the farmers if they had no intention of fulfilling them. He said the BJP’s policy is to make promises during elections and then forget them. Thakur stated that the BJP should bring transparency to its policy towards farmers and stop misleading them.

Thakur said that the farmers’ movement has sparked a wave of outrage against the BJP across the country. He warned that if the BJP does not heed the farmers’ demands soon, it will pay the price in the upcoming elections. He mentioned that the farmers’ anger could cause the BJP significant losses in the elections, possibly leading them to lose power.

Congress’s commitment

Dhananjay Singh Thakur stated that the Congress Party is fully committed to resolving farmers’ issues. He said that the Congress has always stood with the farmers and will continue to fight for their rights. Thakur mentioned that the Congress Party has always raised the voice of farmers and pressured the government to address their issues.

Thakur said the Congress Party believes farmers play a vital role in the country’s development, and without addressing their issues, the country’s progress is impossible. He urged the government to promptly accept the farmers’ demands and find solutions to their problems.

Conclusion

Dhananjay Singh Thakur said that the BJP must understand that farmers are the backbone of the country, and respecting them is the duty of every citizen. He stated that insulting and defaming farmers reflects the BJP’s mentality, which is against democracy and civil rights. He emphasized that the BJP should apologize to the entire country for Kangana Ranaut’s remarks and refrain from making such comments in the future.

Thakur asserted that the farmers’ demands are legitimate, and it is the government’s responsibility to address them. He urged the BJP to change its policy and show sensitivity towards farmers. He reiterated that the Congress Party has always supported farmers and will continue to do so in the future because the Congress believes that the country’s development is only possible when its farmers are happy and prosperous.
